 Christopher T. Du, CPA/PFS

 
Christopher began his career in public accounting in 1993 with the then "Big Six" accounting firm of KPMG specializing in taxation for closely held companies.  He left KPMG as a senior accountant to join the investment banking division of Oppenheimer & Co. in Los Angeles, California.  He has worked as an associate in the investment banking division of Bear Stearns and Credit Suisse where he assisted companies on financings and strategic matters, including initial public offerings, debt financings, and acquisition and divestiture transactions.  Christopher joined Lake, Du & Associates to fulfill his dream of being an entrepreneur and to work with small business owners.  His knowledge and experience in the areas of accounting, taxation, and finance has allowed him to successfully develop a consultative approach to long-term strategic tax and financial planning for his client.
 
Christopher has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant since 1997.   Available only to CPAs, he earned the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation as conferred by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Christopher earned his M.B.A. from Columbia University.  He also holds a B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Taxation from San Diego State University.  His professional designations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Christopher is an adjunct instructor at the Keller School of Business and is a committed volunteer of the International Rescue Committee.
 

Mark Johnson

 
Mark Johnson, originally from Ohio, has over 20 years of professional experience in public and private industry accounting, as well as management consulting. A University of Akron graduate, his background includes several years at top accounting firms, including Spicer & Oppenheim and Arthur Andersen, where he managed a diverse range of client engagements from small start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, across a broad range of industries. He gained his international experience in London where he supervised Spicer & Oppenheim’s largest audit engagements. He has served as audit preparation specialist  to numerous business start-ups.

 

Randy M. Lake

 
Randy is the founder and has over 25 years of experience in taxation.  Randy started his career as an IRS auditor and has held management positions at two IRS offices, including the IRS Service Center in Fresno and District Office Headquarter - Los Angeles, CA.   Randy also held positions at the Ogden, UT and Carson, CA, IRS Service Centers.  Additionally he was a member of the original management team that opened the Fresno Center in 1992.  His extensive IRS background was much enhanced by his participation in a broad range of special projects, including his selection for the Taxpayer Compliance Measurement Program audits.  Randy has retired to Alaska where he spends his time mastering his fishing techniques.

 

Leakena Men

 
Leakena has worked with the firm since 2000.  As Accounting Manager, she provides daily bookkeeping needs while maintaining a high-quality relationship with the clients.   In addition, she is also responsible for accounting, financial statements and preparing tax returns for corporations and individuals alike.   Previously, Leakena was employed at Axiom Staff Management where she managed the accounting office and was responsible for human resource functions.
 
Leakena graduated, with honors, with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Business Information Systems from DeVry University.
